Courtyard room

This room is Nineteen’s Unique Selling Point, and the room that journalists rave about when they review our hotel! Because adjoining the room is a private outdoor courtyard stocked with lush green jungly plants and ferns and featuring a private Hot Tub!  We drain, clean and then refill the tub with 500 litres of fresh water for every guest in this room, which means we do not need to load it with chlorine or other chemicals which might irritate your skin, or leave you smelling like your local public swimming pool.   The tub’s normal operating temperature is 39 degrees, and because the water comes up to your neck, it could be snowing or raining and you would be oblivious as you lie back and enjoy a jet-powered back massage!  If it’s a hot summer we will ask you before you arrive if you want the tub at a cooler temperature.

The bedroom itself is approximately 13.6 sq. metres (with a 2.8m high ceiling) and a 1.4m low level double bed with quality white cotton sheets and feather duvets, and 2 goose feather and down pillows and 2 man-made pillows. Extra pillows and blankets are in the wardrobe, so fully feather-free can be enjoyed by those with allergies (please let us know in advance if you need a feather-free duvet).

Fluffy white bath robes and complimentary slippers are provided for your relaxation and comfort.

En suite shower facilities are well stocked with Molton Brown products to use here or to take home with you.

There is a flat screen Sony TV with digital Freeview, a Sony DVD player, a BOSE CD/radio and a fabulous BOSE i-Pod station.  You can freely borrow discs from our small library.

Each day you are given complimentary apples and 2 x 750ml bottles of South Downs mineral water.

The hot tub is big enough to take 4 adults, so you are at liberty to invite friends who are also staying at Nineteen to have a soak with you. We ask you not to use the jets in the tub after 11.30pm or before 9am, because their noise will disturb other guests, but you are OK using it as a plunge pool without the jets at these times.
